I started selling on eBay in the late 1990s. I was fascinated by the fact that two perfect strangers could complete a transaction online. My background is computer and electrical engineering and in the early days I was building custom computers for friends and people I knew. I got a business license so that I could start buying computer components and gadgets at wholesale through distributors. I quickly learned that I could get better pricing buying in bulk so instead of buying two motherboards I would buy 10 and sell the other eight on eBay. It was not long until I figured out that I could make more money buying wholesale and selling on eBay than I could with the time invested in building the computers. At that point, I just started buying with the intent of reselling. When my job ended, I decided to sell on eBay full time, and opened Consider It Sold, Inc. I now earn my living selling consignment for individuals and businesses on eBay. We are fortunate to have been successful enough to put millions of dollars back into the Colorado Springs economy. We are also proud to be job creators who employ eight full-time and three part-time individuals.
